My name is Amelie Bourgeois, I am a 19-year-old alpine ski racer. I was recently nominated to the Canadian National Alpine development ski team (CAST D). I am originally from Mont-Avalanche in the Laurentians and I started skiing when I was 3 years old. I am one of the best U21 athletes in the country and every day I work towards my goal of competing on the World Cup Circuit in the years to come.
In the previous years, I’ve accomplished a lot of my goals. First, I was nominated on the Quebec Ski Team and now I am a National Ski Team athlete representing Canada. Last year I participated in the World Junior Championships in SG, GS and SL. I learned a lot competing against the best U21’s in the world. I am looking forward to qualifying again next year and moving up the ranks.
For next season, I look forward to competing again on the NorAm circuit but also on the European cup circuit. My goal is to finish in the top 10 overall ranking in the NorAm circuit. I want to keep lowering my FIS points and learn from the best in the world to hopefully soon make my debut on the World Cup circuit.
