My name is Callum Hankai, I'm 18 years old and a new member of the Ontario Ski Team. I have spent my entire life skiing for the Glacier Ski Club at Mt. St. Louis Moonstone. I'm grateful from all of the support from the volunteers, my coaches, and teammates who have helped me dig my way out of the trenches. I have stayed loyal to Glacier and represent the club by laying a pathway for future Glacier racers to follow. I plan to come back to Glacier during days off to help coach young athletes. After my second year U16 I was ranked outside of the top 35 in the province. After two years of racing FIS I am ranked 8th in Canada for slalom. On this team I will continue my momentum by improving my skills, results, and knowledge of the sport.
Since making the Ontario Ski Team I have made it my goal to ski for a NCAA University team in the USA, representing Glacier and Ontario. Skiing is my number one priority while I am on snow, in the tuning room or in the gym 5-7 days a week and working to support my goal. This is an expensive sport, and I have been privileged to participate. I work construction full time and have a ski tuning business in the winter but this barely covers equipment and flights. I have started to build custom live edge tables as a side hustle to further fund my ski career. Any support is welcome to help me achieve my goals. Donate today so I can ski tomorrow. All donors will get an official tax deductible donation receipt, and a personal thank you from me. Please contact me with any questions callumahankai@icloud.com, thanks.
