My name is Colton Bartholomew, I'm 18 years old, and this year I was named to the Ontario Ski Team. For the past three years I have been racing, training, and attending high school at Burke Mountain Academy, a ski academy in Vermont, but after receiving my diploma this past spring, I decided to come back home to Ontario and join the Ontario Ski Team. Before attending Burke Mountain Academy, I spent U14 and U16 racing at Craigleith. This year, I am one of three males who have been named to the Ontario Ski Team. I’m extremely excited to be back in Canada representing Ontario. This past season was a challenging one with many ups and downs, but with the support of my new teammates and coach, Cam Mckenzie, I am very optimistic that the 23/24 season will be a successful one. This season, I am aiming to qualify for an NCAA ski team and to represent Canada at the World Junior Championships in France. I am entirely dedicated to achieving my goals, and I am working very hard to fulfill my ski racing dreams. Although racing and training around the world is a privilege, it comes with a large cost. Ski racing isn’t cheap. It is a huge financial commitment for myself and my family to make each year to support my ski racing dreams. That is why I have teamed up with Snow Athletes Canada to help fundraise money to try to offset some of the associated costs of ski racing. Any donation helps and is greatly appreciated.
