I am Dylan Jarvis, a highly dedicated mogul skier and member of the Mogul Development Team for Freestyle Ontario. I started skiing when I was three years old, and I spent ten years learning to become a freestyle skier. Five years ago, the appeal of mogul skiing started my journey as a freestyle Ontario skier. Motivated by my brother's spirit for moguls, I entered moguls in search of becoming the best skier I can be, mastering difficult terrain and mastering freestyle skiing.
I've proudly won four silver and 5 bronze medals in the Timber Tour mogul skiing competitions, demonstrating my skills on the slopes. The excitement of competing at the Junior Nationals three times has been a fantastic accomplishment. In addition, I have been very proud of my skiing at some Canada Cups, which established my status as a mogul skier. These successes encourage me to keep getting better and creating even bigger goals in the exciting world of mogul skiing.
My motivation comes from a set of challenging yet rewarding goals for the future of my mogul skiing career. This year, I want to focus on finishing on the podium in the Timber Tours and moving up to the desired gold spot. Any podium position would be a source of motivation, even though reaching the top step would be thrilling. Another goal I have is to go to the Junior Nationals, where I hope to demonstrate my abilities and not only compete but also place well. I am also hopeful I can compete in both eastern Canada Cups this season in order to push myself against our country's under 18 competitors. My main objective is to consistently improve my mogul skiing skills, understanding that this requires dedication as well as determination and going beyond rankings and medals. Above all, I want to maintain passion and enjoyment throughout the competitions, making every time on the slopes a celebration of the sport I love.
