Felicity Geremia is a 16-year-old snowboarder from Calgary Alberta. She was named to the 2023-24 Canada NextGen Halfpipe team and has been a member of the Alberta Provincial team for the past four seasons. At 8 years old she was entered into her first Canadian National Halfpipe Competition and made the top 10, finals, won her age group and has been competing ever since.
Felicity is currently ranked 19th in the WSPL (World Snowboarding Point List) and 3rd in Canada. During the 2022-23 season she competed in her first of two World Cups at age 15. Her first was at Copper Mountain, finishing in 13th place and the second one was at home in Calgary, Alberta where she qualified for finals and finished in 7th. An absolute thrilling night and a career highlite to date. She also competed in three out of four Revolution Tour Competitions on the Nor Am circuit finishing in the top four for each one. In the overall standings in the NorAm Cup for 2022-23 she finished second, receiving a beautiful crystal medal.
In February 2023 Felicity competed at the Canada Winter Games. Due to terrain in Nova Scotia the Games did not have a halfpipe competition, so she competed in Giant slalom, Big Air, Boardercross and Slope Style. She brought home 2 medals, a silver in Giant slalom and a bronze in Big Air. Finishing in the top 5 in every event and medaling in both events as a first-time competitor, showcasing her strengths and athleticism.
In July 2023 Felicity was selected to represent Canada in HP at the Youth Olympics in South Korea in January 2024. She is very excited to compete for Canada at these Games.
Training at MT Hood in July and dedicating herself to 3 weeks of pre season training in Sass Fee, SUI in October she is hoping to have a successful 23/24 season. Her longer term goals are to make selections to the Canadian National Halfpipe Team and to qualify and represent Canada at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Italy.
Felicity’s goal for the 2023-24 season is to compete in three World Cup competitions, three Revolution Tour competitions and the Youth Olympics.
Felicity also competes at the highest levels in soccer (AYSL} and softball (A level) and is hopeful to play Softball at the University D1 or D2 level while continuing her education. She is a dedicated, strong athlete who loves the thrill of competing and thrives under pressure.
