Hello, I’m Jonah. Many in the Snowboard Cross community might recognize me as the U15 Champion for 2024, a notable achievement among many in my snowboarding career. My journey began in 2020 when I enrolled in a part-time lesson course at Mount Saint Marie. Thanks to Coach Marleau, I received a solid introduction to Snowboard Cross and all-mountain riding.
In 2021, I participated in my first competitive races. Although I did not secure any medals that year due to my limited experience, I was driven by my passion for the sport and my desire to improve. By 2022, I had advanced to my first small final in the race, a significant milestone for me at that time. While my placements were modest, the supportive community and the enjoyment of the sport were invaluable.
The 2023 season was particularly memorable, marked by consistent performances and a second-place finish in the Quebec Cup. The 2024 season was a pinnacle of my career. I frequently placed in the top three and won first place at the Nationals in Beaver Valley, Ontario—an achievement I consider the highlight of last year.
Looking ahead to the upcoming season, my goals are to qualify for the Junior World Championships and earn medals at many FIS races. Additionally, I aim to achieve a top ten finish in a North American circuit race. I am eager to continue my growth, share my snowboarding knowledge with others, and connect with new people and competitive peers.
