I am an 18-year-old freestyle skier from Thunder Bay, Ontario. I graduated from Grade 12 this year with honours, and deferred my acceptance to the University of Ottawa to focus on my dream of making Team Canada. During my year off I’m pumped to fit in as much training as I can get. I’m working in a restaurant to help pay for skiing.
I will be competing with the Ontario Park and Pipe High Performance Team this season and will be representing my home province of Ontario in the Canada Cup circuit around the country.
What I accomplished in the 2023-2024 comp season: - Third at junior nationals in my age category, - Qualified and attended senior nationals in Whistler B.C and - Made Finals at the Horseshoe Resort Canada Cup.
I’m pleased with what I achieved last year. It got me closer to my goal by making the Ontario Park and Pipe team. I am excited to progress even more this upcoming season and get another step closer to my dream of being on Team Canada.
Goals for the 2024-2025 season: - Consistently make finals in Canada Cups - Podium at Canada Cups - Qualify for some North American level competitions.
Competing at my level demands extensive training hours and substantial expenses for ski gear, coaching, lift tickets, travel, accommodations, and more. This year, turning 18 has increased my costs, with lift ticket prices rising for both training and competitions, and being on a high-performance team. Since provincial and federal financial support for high performance athletes is limited, your donation (no matter how small!) will make a real difference by helping me and my mom offset some of these expenses and allow me to focus on achieving my personal best in the 2024-2025 season.
Thanks for your support!
