I am a 13 year old aspiring athlete from a small community in Nova Scotia, called Milford. I started snowboarding with my family when I was 4 years old at our local hill, Ski Wentworth. I quickly developed a passion for the sport and looked forward to any opportunity to spend time on the slopes. I entered my first Grom competition at the age of 9 years old where I placed second, earning my first medal. Since then, I have been dedicated to developing my skills as a snowboarder and working hard to achieve my goal of competing nationally.

This is my first year on the Nova Scotia Snowboard Freestyle Development Team. Being on the team has been a rewarding experience for me. I enjoy training with likeminded athletes, and with coaches who promote personal growth, athletic development, and inspire me to push my boundaries in the sport. My personal goals this season are to learn 540s, 360 grabs and backflips off of jumps, and 270s off of rails. My goal is to make the High Performance Team by 2026.

As a member of the Nova Scotia Snowboard Team, I have opportunities to compete in various competitions and out of province training camps. These events are crucial in my journey to further my development as an athlete. The costs associated with competitive snowboarding can be quite significant. Your support would directly contribute to helping me cover some of these costs, and would allow me to pursue my passion for snowboarding at the highest level.

I look forward to growing in this sport and I welcome you to be a part of this journey with me. I hope to make my province proud and prove that kids from small towns can achieve their big dreams.
