My name is Sarah Bennett, and I am competing as an individual athlete this season. After two years on the national team—one of which was sidelined due to injury—I have not been nominated for the 2024-2025 season. My goal this season is to win the NorAm overall title. I am a versatile ski racer with NorAm podiums in three disciplines: slalom, giant slalom, and super-G. Last year, I spent 90% of my season with the giant slalom team and managed to score points in slalom with very little training, achieving a world ranking of 57th.
Racing a full season on the World Cup circuit was challenging for me as I came back from injury, especially since my last NorAm races were in 2021. As an individual athlete this season, I plan to return to my versatility in both tech and speed events to secure the NorAm overall title. Depending on my early-season performance, I might have the opportunity to compete in World Cup races, provided they do not conflict with the NorAm schedule.
I am seeking funding for travel and race expenses. This season, I will not have a coach, technician, or staff. Instead, I will join other teams and individual athletes. I am extremely ambitious for the upcoming season and have high hopes of returning to the World Cup circuit and achieving great success. Your support is invaluable to me as an individual athlete because you truly become my team for the season.
