My name is Stian and I’m a 16-year-old slopestyle snowboarder from Whitehorse, Yukon. I fell in love with snowboarding at 8 years old when my parents got me a snowboard for Christmas.
I compete in Slopestyle, Big Air and Rail events. I like that you have to spin in multiple directions and have a big variety of tricks to do well. I enjoy riding different terrain parks and figuring out how to perform on each new feature.
In 2026, I became the Junior World Champion in the rail event! I also qualified for my first NorAm final in Slopestyle this season, placing in the top 10.
As of March 2026, I was ranked 3rd in the world in Rails for my age and 4th in the world in Slopestyle for my age.
I want to be a professional snowboarder and make the Canadian National Team. I would like to win a World Cup. For now, I am focused on learning more difficult tricks and riding bigger features.
Outside of snowboarding season, I love to skateboard and mountain bike. I like these sports because I can learn new tricks and ride new features. But snowboarding is my favourite sport.
Please consider supporting me so that I can travel outside the Yukon to train and compete with other high calibre athletes. Every dollar counts. I need to travel to learn bigger tricks in the pre-season so that I can land them in competition. This means traveling to facilities in Australia and Europe.
Thank you for helping me follow my dream of snowboarding for Canada.
