I am Arnaud Gaudet, an alpine snowboarder from Montcalm, Québec. I am 23 years old and for the past 6 years, I’ve been on the National Team and racing on both the World Cup tour and the NorAm tour.
I was the defending NorAm champion for 4 years in a row (2018-2022) and since then I’ve been focusing mainly on World Cups. In 2022 I had the opportunity to compete in my first Olympic Games in Beijing, China, which was very fun and was a motivator to keep me pushing towards my goal, of being the best in the world. I’ve been getting more consistent in my results on the World Cup circuit these past 2 years, multiple top 16, a few top 8, and last year I reached the podium for the first time by getting bronze at the World Championships in Bakuriani, Georgia.
During the off season, I train hard to be in the best shape as possible in preparation for the winter, but I must also work a lot to be able to fund my snowboard season. The financial cost of being an elite athlete is high, travelling to train is mandatory to be competitive withthe best riders of the world. I just got back from a summer camp on snow in Chile, and now I’m back in the gym until our pre-season camp in November.
This winter my goals are to get more podiums at the World Cups in PSL and to get some top 8 in PGS.
Thank you for your help,
