Samuel has been sit-skiing in the Okanagan since 2015.  His natural athleticism, balance, dedication and passion has progressed him into High performance and competition.  Through the tremendous support of Powderhounds Adaptive at Big White and BC Adaptive Snowsports, his skills developed and he was introduced to the Big White Ski Club in 2022.

The winter of 2022/23 was his first competitive season.  He had the privilege to represent BC’s para-athletes at the Canada Winter Games and brought home a Bronze Medal for his efforts in GS. This was followed by the opportunity to Forerun the 2023 FIS Para Alpine Skiing Canadian and USA National Championships in Kimberley. Samuel is looking forward to training hard and participating in as many events as possible this coming season.

Samuel eagerly anticipates the upcoming season, ready to train rigorously and participate in numerous events. Beyond his accomplishments on the slopes, he revels in a diverse range of sports, including wheelchair tennis. However, it's in sit-skiing and racing where his true passion ignites. Along this extraordinary journey, Samuel has found unexpected joy in meeting new people who share his enthusiasm for the sport.

Committed to giving back, Samuel aims to achieve his CADS Level 1 certification this season with Powderhounds. His overarching goal is to represent Canada in the Paralympics, a dream that fuels his relentless dedication to training and personal growth in the sport. Samuel is actively seeking sponsorships to support him on this inspiring journey towards achieving his Paralympic aspirations.
