Hi, I am William Steed. Born in 2005 in Edmonton, Alberta. Ski racing has been my life since I was six years old. The best decision I ever made was to pick up my life and move to East Burke, Vermont, to attend Burke Mountain Academy for high school. I ski raced at Burke for three years and learned many valuable life lessons while I was there. It also opened my eyes to the NCAA college circuit and how I can use a well-designed system to continue pursuing my ski racing dreams while receiving a college degree.
I cannot thank my parents enough for all the time, energy, and money they have invested in this sport for me. Anyone in the ski world knows how expensive it is, and the sacrifices parents make to help their children live their dreams. I hope to receive your support for this season to help get me to the next level in this sport.
While attending Burke, I had an incredible start to FIS racing. My head coach helped me not only with my performance on the hill but also dry-land raining and by introducing me to many opportunities for my future. My FIS points currently stand at 36.88 SL and 33.99 GS, and I am ranked in the top 3 for overall tech skiers in Canada for my birth year of 2005. I have big goals for next season that I know I can achieve. I aim to ski for Team Canada at the 2025 World Junior Championships in Italy and to be named to the Canadian Alpine Development Team. By the end of the 2025 season, I want to be ranked among the top three 2005's in North America and be in the top 30 for the overall North American Cup start list. I am very happy with my physical conditioning and am really looking forward to putting it to use on the slopes.
Any support is greatly appreciated. Tax deductible receipts will be issued for your donation. Thank you for your support and for your interest in my program.
